Gradual Rhapsody: The Paintings of George Tun Sein

New York-based Burmese artist George Tun Sein’s meditative abstract compositions employ color fields and gestural elements that transcend cultures. His well-balanced harmonies appear effortless and resonate with a gentle but powerful palette. Gradual Rhapsody, a solo exhibition of his paintings, will be featured at Tally Beck Contemporary Gallery from July 7 to September 1, 2011. By appointment only during August.

A finissage party will take place at the gallery on Thursday, September 1, 2011, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be a brief artist talk and a Q&A with the artist around 7:30 p.m.
